We enjoy close companionship relationships with the Diocese of Thika in Kenya and the Diocese of Exeter in the UK.

In July 2012 a delegation from the Diocese attended the consecration and dedication of the new cathedral in Thika. This 6 hour long celebration included the presentation of gifts, and among those from our Diocese was an eikon, presented by Bishop Michael. The delegation spent several days touring the diocese and seeing aspects of its serving, educational and evangelistic work. In the last fourteen years it has formed 57 new congregations and churches. Delegates from Exeter Diocese were also present and plans are now afoot to give more substance to the three way link.

Every deanery in the Diocese of Exeter is encouraged to have a link to one of the Chaplaincies in our Diocese, to share information and offer prayer support.  We also receive valuable support in the selection and training of ordinands from Cyprus and the Gulf.  These links are strengthened by visits in both directions, an annual gathering in Exeter Cathedral, an annual Exhibition in July, a seat on the Association of Friends committee and participation in our Diocesan Synod. Each year a number of the Exeter parishes purchase Palm Crosses made from palms grown within our Diocese.
