New Chapter for Ministry Training

The Diocese has now entered a new training relationship with Queens College Newfoundland, Canada. At a ceremony which included members of the Theological Faculty of this Anglican Foundation, Archdeacon John signed a Memorandum of Understanding which signals the beginning of the new partnership. Queens will accredit and administer the Exploring Faith course which the Diocese has been using for the last five years. Fifteen students from the Diocese have now been enrolled, and it is hoped that another nine may be enrolled in January. College Provost Dr Rick Singleton, the other signatory, said that this was an exciting day for the College, making a positive statement about partnership within the Anglican Communion. Rt Rev Dr Geoff Peddle, Bishop of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador, also present welcomed this innovative link with “the most fascinating Diocese in the Anglican World.”
