The Bishop in Cyprus and the Gulf, the Rt Revd Michael Lewis, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Richard Frost, latterly Vicar in the Bideford Team Ministry at Northam and Westward Ho! (Diocese of Exeter) and currently Locum Priest in the Chaplaincy of Malaga (Diocese of Gibraltar in Europe), to be Chaplain of St Andrew Kyrenia, Cyprus (Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf).
He and his wife Gill expect to move in January. The date of his licensing in Kyrenia is to be announced in due course.

The Bishop in Cyprus and the Gulf is delighted to announce the appointment of the Ven Dr John Holdsworth, currently Archdeacon of St Davids and Vicar of Steynton in the Church in Wales, as Archdeacon in Cyprus, Executive Archdeacon for the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf, and Chaplain of St Helena Larnaca.
Dr Holdsworth, who is 61 and married to Sue, has long experience as a parish priest in urban and rural settings in various parts of Wales. He is also a distinguished writer, broadcaster, and theological educator, and was Principal of St Michael’s College Llandaff until 2003, when he took up his present combined post of parish priest and archdeacon.
Bishop Michael looks forward to joining the rest of the diocese in welcoming John and Sue and to enjoying John’s counsel and wisdom. A date in mid-December is likely for the start of John’s new ministry.
The Bishop in Cyprus and the Gulf is pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Andrew Thompson, currently Chaplain of St Paul Ahmadi and Kuwait, to be Chaplain of St Andrew Abu Dhabi.
Andy and Navina expect to move in the late summer before an institution and induction in September.
