The Anglican Church (Cyprus Ltd) seeks to appoint an Administration Officer.

The person appointed will work as part of a small dedicated team, based in central Nicosia, have sympathy with the aims and ethos of the Anglican Church, and be prepared to learn about its ordering and processes. In the first instance the appointee will work alongside an existing office holder with a view, over time, to assuming most of the responsibilities of that position. These include interface with a wide variety of people, from archbishops to refugees, of several nationalities. Ability to speak Greek would be an advantage, as would previous experience of the Anglican Church or of working in a church environment. Other duties would be those traditionally associated with office administration, as well as some aspects of human resources, recording and oversight of some training programmes, and event organisation.

The post is advertised on the basis of 35 hours per week. At some times of the year there is extra pressure, and a flexible approach is essential. The starting salary is €30K per annum, with potential to increase to €38K as responsibilities are transferred.

Are you looking for a job that will be satisfying, give you a certain amount of freedom, bring you into contact with a variety of different people, give you opportunity to soak up the sun, and allow you free time to visit countries in the Mediterranean and Middle East?

The current Caretaker of Katafiyio will come to the end of his voluntary service at the beginning of 2017.  We are now looking for replacement volunteer Caretaker/s (preferably husband and wife) who will be able to take on the work specified in the attached Job Description.

Ideally the new Caretaker/s would be able to arrive in Cyprus by the end of February 2017.

Caretaker/s need to be sympathetic with the aims of a Christian retreat house, have the gift of hospitality, have a current driving license, be computer literate, be able to offer their time and talents free of charge, be self-motivated, and be willing to attend one of the Anglican churches on Cyprus on a regular basis.  An additional talent that would be appreciated is that of catering for individuals and small groups for one-off occasions, but not essential.

The Caretaker/s will need to be completely self-supported financially and be able to rent accommodation for themselves.  Use of a car for work purposes is available.
