Bishop Michael visits the Patriarchate

His Beatitude Louis-Raphael I Sako, Chaldaean Catholic Patriarch of Babylon and the most senior of church leaders in Iraq, was recently made a cardinal by Pope Francis.

On the day before Cardinal Sako came to St George’s for the opening of the  new Anglican school and the resource centre, Bishop Michael, accompanied by Fr Faiz Jerjes and churchwarden Dawlat Abouna, visited the headquarters of the Patriarchate in Mansur, Baghdad, to congratulate him.

Also seen here is the assistant patriarchal bishop, Mar Basilius Yaldo.
