Kuwait: tokens of life renewed

On Friday 20 December 2019 Archbishop Michael blessed and dedicated a new Chapel of the Resurrection adjacent to the main body of the church of St Paul, Ahmadi, Kuwait. Once inside, he then baptised two adult candidates and an infant in the freshly constructed building. Guest of honour from the Amiri Diwan was His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah al Mubarak al Sabah, representing His Highness the Amir. Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah unlocked the new external gate and cut a ceremonial ribbon at the doors.

The ceremonies immediately followed the principal eucharist at St Paul’s, which was attended by Mr Michael Davenport, British ambassador, together with other ambassadors and diplomats from the embassies of India, Zimbabwe, South Africa, the Netherlands, and the United States of America. At the Peace the archbishop admitted new members of the Mothers Union, including the Reverend Zhu Peijin, assistant priest.
